  • We are a full service AMC, able to perform most functions in-house.

  • Our core staff includes Member Services Representatives who provide customer service and administrative support, especially in the areas of database, meeting registration management and fulfillment, and marketing. Our bookkeeper, who is a CPA, provides financial record keeping and reporting services.


  • In addition to our core staff, we contract with specialists such as hardware and software professionals, artists, accountants and attorneys with whom we've established relationships, to ensure that our clients' needs are met and services are provided cost effectively.

    Sherri L. Oken, CAE, is the founder of The Association Advantage LLC, and serves as Executive Director to our association clients. She has over twenty-five years of experience in all aspects of association management and governance, and has been an active and participating member of associations her entire life. Before forming The Association Advantage, she was Director of Public Affairs, Membership and Education for a regional trade association affiliated with the National Association of Home Builders.


    Sherri is an experienced speaker, trainer, facilitator and speaking coach. She has presented on a wide range of topics including non-profit governance; recruiting, training and retaining volunteers; overcoming board apathy; crisis management; the communication skills of effective leaders; membership development and retention strategies; and budget management. In addition to her association work, she has provided marketing and public relations programs and products for individual, corporate clients. She was an educator and counselor in an earlier career.

    Sherri holds a Bachelors Degree in Speech/English and a Masters Degree in education from the State University of New York. In 1996, she earned the Certified Association Executive credential from the American Society of Association Executives. She is an active member of NE/SAE, has served on its Board of Directors and as chair of several committees. She is a member of ASAE and is an active member of the community in which she lives.
